Cash Money Records hit for the trifecta last week, racking up their third lawsuit on Friday (June 10), when they were sued for an undisclosed sum by publishing company Bridgeport Music, over illegal usage of the song 'You and Your Folks, Me and My Folks' by Funkadelic.

The copyright suit, filed in the Central District of California Western Division, states that the folk rhyme ode from George Clinton and his band's 1971 classic 'Maggot Brain' was allegedly sampled by Lil Wayne and Bryan "Birdman" Williams' on 'Army Gunz,' a track from their 2006 collaboration album, 'Like Father, Like Son.' According to the court report, Cash Money Records, Wayne and Birdman, along with parent company UMG Recordings, Universal Music Distribution, Young Money Publishing and Warner Tamerlane Publishing have all been named in the suit, but not the song's producer, DJ Nasty.
